New Show Reaction!
Added 2025-01-14 21:17:22 +0000 UTCNew spot alert!
Now that What We Do In The Shadows is over, I am finding myself with an open vacancy for a current show. I already have a few in mind for a poll, but I want to hear from you.
I would like to have a recent show, preferably that is currently airing and has 3 seasons at most.
So shoot me your current favorites, we will have a poll next week.

2025-01-19 23:49:03 +0000 UTCNot sure if 24 years counts as "recent", but since you really took to the two " Clerks" movies, I would recommend checking out the six episodes of the short-lived "Clerks: Animated Series" show from 2001. It's the same animation that was used in the "funeral" scene in the first movie; plus aside from the same actors voicing Dante, Randal, Jay and Silent Bob the show also has Alec Baldwin voicing the Quick Stop guys' arch nemesis.

2025-01-15 03:43:41 +0000 UTCKeeping in mind the no more than a few seasons stipulation... I say pick up where left off with either Harley Quinn (to see how that Harlivy dynamic develops) or The I.T. Crowd (to keep some Matt Berry content in the schedule). Both of these have significantly less than a few seasons remaining and we'd be done with these rather quickly if they were part of the regular schedule. Or barring that perhaps find a way to sprinkle in a video for either of these once a month like we were doing with Harley Quinn some time agoπ€ I'd also like to recommend Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet. The subject matter of the goings on with a video game developer may not immediately stick out as something relevant to your interests but it has a least a couple familiar faces to welcome you along and perhaps before long you'll get to enjoy some of the other faces and enjoy the overall story going on. I'd say it's kinda, sorta like Parks and Recreation where you don't really have to know or care much about the subject matter (Parks department bureaucracy) to enjoy the characters and assorted storylines. And of course it also has but only a few seasons.

2025-01-15 03:40:09 +0000 UTC"I would like a recent show" Sorry, can't do that; I just tend not to get into shows when they're ongoing anymore, not like I used to. But the "less than 3 seasons"... I can do that. 1 - Life. We've got 2 eps left in this season (1 of which I used my tier membership on for this month) then the 2nd season is 22 episodes and it's over 2 - Veronica Mars - 3 seasons. Seasons 1 and 2 are fantastic... 3 is a bit more uneven, it was during the writer's strike, it was essentially split into two separate chunks; it's still very good, just maybe not great like 1 and 2 are... then a movie. You saw the pilot, you know what you'd be getting into. 3 - Psych - way more than 3 seasons. Oops. But it's flirting with my top tier favorite shows of all-time; funny, entertaining, interesting, great relationship between Shawn and Gus, incredible running gags

2025-01-15 03:07:46 +0000 UTCSilo! Itβs currently in Season 2, and they already said it will have 3 seasons in total. Itβs a suspenseful post-apocalyptic movie

2025-01-15 00:16:21 +0000 UTCNot a current favorite of mine, but I'll recommend continuing Harley Quinn since it meets most of your other criteria (the 5th season starts this month)

2025-01-14 23:23:26 +0000 UTCMaking it a current or at least recent show really limits the options. (Iβm looking for a reactor to pick up Penny Dreadful but thatβs from 2014β2016.) So, first of all: if you really havenβt watched Arcane yet, you owe it to yourself to do that! Other than that, some good recent shows are: ShΕgun, Blue Eye Samurai, and Agatha All Along (with Wanda Vision as required prequel). Mythic Quest is fun; it has a fourth season coming out in two weeks but each season is only 10 half-hour episodes.

2025-01-14 21:32:01 +0000 UTCPSYCH! It's more than 3 seasons (7) but you seemed to enjoy the pilot. I would LOVE to see a full Psych series reaction, and it's a cable show, so the seasons are shorter than usual. It also has the benefit of being a complete/finished show, so it's not on-going.
