(Preview) SongsTress Quest Episode 2 - Stars Waiting To Be Born

The Royal Ruby is one of Ruby Canyon's oldest and proudest institutions. It dates back over 200 years in one form or another, and boasts a cavalcade of stars that owe their careers to getting started inside these illustrious walls. It’s a pretty classy place, it costs a lot to come and see one of their shows, and it feels like every penny of that went into the architecture. Lots of sculptures and modern arts dotted around the place, you know?

Today, it was being used to host auditions for Star Parade, one of their new shows, or, maybe it was a TV thing, or- ugh. Whatever! You forget the details and you don't much care. All you know is that for at least one candidate, the audition didn't go well. The judges were less than kind about old-you's performance, and dismissed you pretty quickly. Jerks. Well who cares about them, anyway? Not you, that's for sure!

[Side Quest gained: Old Grudge. It wasn't really you that it happened to, but you're still kind of annoyed about how those judges treated old-you. Maybe they front seat to your new performance skills? There were three of them: Rex Riverton, Carol Press, and Oriana Ophelia. You are unsure of their current whereabouts.]

You blow yourself a kiss in the mirror and throw yourself a wink from behind your starry shades. Damn you're amazing. Who wouldn't fall in love at the sight of you? Not you, that's for sure! You're going to get that incredible bitch in your reflection everything she wants~ And what you want most is an audience. Fans. Worshipers! Oh, they'll sing your name, along with all your other delightful lyrics!

The only question now is where to start!

The Royal Ruby would be the place to build your lair - but it's also incredibly public, and if you do so it's guaranteed that Serenities will show up sooner rather than later. It's also not very active at the moment - it was mostly closed for auditions, so aside from a skeleton staff and a few audition stragglers, there's not very many people here.

That's important, you understand innately. Desires feed on human desire - the more humans you convert, the more desire you rake in, and the more powerful you become! And naturally, if you don't convert any, you're going to fade away...

But obviously that's not going to happen. People are going to love you, no matter what you have to do to make them!

At the edge of your hearing, you hear a little movement - sounds like you weren't the only one who snuck into the dressing rooms. Could there be other potential hopefuls with dashed dreams nearby? Hmmm...

So what are you going to do? You close your eyes and let your desire-filled heart guide you...
