Impromptu Montreal liveshow!
Added 2017-09-14 06:48:51 +0000 UTCLater this month Lauren will be travelling to Montreal for a conference, and it just so happens that Montreal is where Gretchen lives! We decided that we couldn't resist this rare occasion for both of us being in the same place at the same time to try organizing a liveshow!
We're thinking of it as a practice run for the big Patreon liveshow goal that we're planning for the future, and yes, we'll definitely give you all way more advance notice and consult you about location options for the big show (this time, we were very constrained by the conference schedule).
The show is going to be at 8pm (doors) 8:30 (start) on Saturday, September 23rd at Argo Bookshop in Montreal, which is an indie bookshop that has a great linguistics section.

However, we recognize that we have patrons and listeners from all over the world (which is whoa), so we're also going to be recording the liveshow with the help of our friends at The Ling Space, a linguistics youtube channel who are also based in Montreal. Then we'll release it as Bonus #8 on Patreon! (To make up for $10 patrons not getting a bonus proposal this month, we'll let you watch the bonus a day in advance.)
But first! The liveshow will include a topical part plus a Q&A, and we want you to be involved! Ask us your burning questions on internet linguistics, linguistics in the public sphere, Australian vs Canadian English, and anything else in the comments below, or click the heart to endorse someone else's question, and we'll include as many as possible during the question period!
