Realities

Unfortunately I think it's time to basically call it.

The channel is going to be going into a kind of maintenance mode.

Loss of the adobe suite has been a big blow, and while I have it for the rest of October, it makes starting any large projects an issue.

I don't want to start something and get halfway through it and be unable to finish it due to the loss of software.

It means I'm basically forced to work on smaller projects exclusively.

I still plan on making the Dead Rising 3 DLC All Achievement videos (DLC1,2,3,4) , and a few supplements for Dead Rising 3 (ZDC Cameras, Frank Statues), which I should be able to get done in the timeframe.

Once those videos are finished, well, that's all up in the air.

In terms of what maintenance mode means:

I've made all livestreams, and a slew of other lesser videos private.

It's unlikely I stream directly to YouTube anymore, although I may stream in Discord as some point.

All comments will now be held for manual review by me. There has been problems with bots on YouTube lately, and I've had to deal with quite a bit of rudeness and I simply will not engage with it any longer.

I felt an obligation to read most comments, but its painfully obvious now why most content creators don't bother engaging.

I will potentially do one day a week where I reserve time to go through comments, but likely, I just won't really be interested, especially for older videos.

For new videos, I will likely check on them periodically throughout the week after launch to approve comments.

This isn't the end of the channel.

All surviving public videos up will remain up indefinitely, at least as long as youtube is around.

When November comes around I basically will just be unable to work on anything as I learn new free versions of software, and make a new graphical suite for RP.

That means I simply won't have any content out in any reasonable time in November. Then December is the cut off date for my ultimatum. We're simply too far off my goals, and I won't reach them. It feels like it's been snag after snag, and it's like the universe is telling me it's time to pack it in.

I'm going to putting the majority of my focus into the exit strategy from now on. I'll be prioritizing my health and fitness over creating videos.

For video releases after October, into November, and the year afterwards:

I will continue to make videos, but I will likely be doing so in the background. I won't be releasing large videos in parts, I will simply wait until the whole video is finished, and then release it when it's ready.

For now, I'll leave Patreon open as a tip jar. It may go down in the future. It's always felt wrong to take money from people without offering anything in return.

I want you all to be as informed as possible. You should adjust your pledges accordingly.
