Bonus 59: We interview each other! Seasons, word games, Unicode, and more

We interview other linguists here periodically, but sometimes you also want to know what your cohost has been up to lately! Or maybe just their answer to a few Highly Important (and Not At All Silly) Questions.

In this bonus episode, we get enthusiastic about interviewing each other! We talk about our recent activities, such as Gretchen's tentative return to the world of physical conferences at the Unicode Conference, and upcoming projects, such as the academic book about gesture which Lauren's started working on, plus a few other sneak peeks :) We also talk about our favourite seasons (and the linguistic tie-ins thereto), favourite words and word games (someone made a crossword of Gretchen's book!), and what blew our minds when we first started studying linguistics.

Announcements:

We redesigned our website! It's been live for a little while now and is well worth a gander! We have cute icons designed by our very own Lucy Maddox (you may have noticed those on Patreon too!) and a more new-listener-friendly landing page. Gretchen even wrote an incredibly detailed post on how we went about redesigning the website to make it easier for everyone to use.
