We first talked about a shoot back in March 2020, just before the world shut down, whilst I'd been a photographer for quite some time, my current vision for my work was still in its infancy. In a long list of models I wanted to work with, this has been sitting in the background, waiting for the right moment to come together. Now, a few years later, it finally has — and I couldn’t be more proud of what we made.
ONLINE — Issue 03 features Leyla Cross, shot on both digital and 35mm during my recent trip to Melbourne. It’s raw, grounded, and a little more intimate than usual — the kind of work I’ve wanted to make more of. We let the location lead the way and took our time. The result is something that feels honest and unforced. There’s a story in these frames, and I’m really glad to put it out into the world now.
If you’ve been following my work for a while — this is one of those shoots that means something.
