So I've shot and am in the final selection stages with Issue 04 that issue is with @itsneginn.
The last two weeks I've been busy getting Issue 05 ready with @tashknox.
And then Issue 06 will be with @jennyannabelle_.
I've currently got a list of around 40 models, including some names that have been suggested! Please keep them coming; it's generally easier if they already follow me. I have a lot of empathy for the girls, I live with models, so I can understand why they're so warey on a project such as ONLINE. Honestly, it's wild some of the messages models show me they get. I've been mid-shoot and watched Bailey Smith slide into Makki Lesko's DM's. I've watched Yeezy have a crack at Ella Cervetto.
To give you an idea, the first step is a FaceTime call to discuss the shoot, where they're at, and understand how they want to be seen. I talk through whoever has said yes whether they're a good fit, because looking comfortable is super important to the work! We pick out references, decide on the location to shoot, and look at styling, timings, etc. There's been a lot of back and forth. To keep up, I keep a spreadsheet with the last contact, what we talked about, etc. It's a bit of a slow process, and I think with any project like this, that's always the case at first.
Everyone wants to see what it's like before agreeing, I definitely have found it easier with models who are travelling, and that's not surprising. It's easy to avoid exposure to bad or images that are in poor taste.
I think around Issue 10, it should have a good flow!
Update on a few of the suggestions given
Tess Homann has said "maybe", I think if she gets on it, other models will more likely say yes, so fingers crossed!
Ella Cervetto said not this year; my photos have gone too viral, she finds them in weird places, finds the men in her DM's hard to cope with, and doesn't want to encourage them.
Gracie Smith and I are grabbing a coffee to discuss next week.
Georgie Roche it's a maybe next time (August onwards), and Chloe Campbell, it's a no right now, I scouted her and got her signed with her current agency, their both managed by SAINT Models, and Mandy is a bit careful with this stuff as their commercial viability could drop due to something like ONLINE.
Signed models are hard unless I can pay them outright from the start. Quite a few signed models reached out, and once they realised how I was selling it, that changed.
Please do suggest more names, the link is here if you need it!
