Captain America: The Winter Soldier Full Length Reaction (Hannah and Tori)

We had some technical difficulties, but they were mostly overcome. Unfortunately, there is one glitch with the video. From approximately the 19 minute mark until the 28 minute mark, you can only hear the girls and not see the camera image. The screen will remain blank during that time. That aside, this is such a wonderful reaction.
We watched the film on Disney Plus. The movie starts at the 1 minute and 3 seconds mark.

Glad someone already explained about the hearing not being a regular court of law, although i totally get why that would seem unrealistic. I think the other side of it is, who was gonna stop her? Pretty sure with all the agents and soldiers and such that she has taken down a bailiff would not be able to handle her. Falcon doesn't get his own movie so far, although he does eventually get his own Disney Plus series (won't say more cause I don't want to give spoilers for you guys), but you have a ways to go before you get there. Keep up the great work. Love your reactions on the MCU.

I am hoping that it's something that will happen extremely rarely. It is true that the opinion expressed during the one scene in the movie is an unusual one. I, personally, don't agree with it as I really like all the characters in this film. However, I enjoy and appreciate the fact that Hannah and Tori don't just watch the movies, but analyze them and present their impressions and views. It is healthy to disagree and offer your own take. It is not healthy to be disrespectful in your comments, however. So please, when you offer opinions and responses, remember to be respectful of Hannah, Tori, Toy, or anyone else in the video, as well as of all your fellow patrons here. This is such an incredible community, a family, and we would really like for it to continue to be this way.

2023-07-09 19:10:54 +0000 UTCFirst of all it's not a court of law it was in Congress and also we don't know if Widow volunteers to appear in Congress to testify because if she did then yes she can walk out whenever she likes if Congress issued her a subpoena then no technical she can't but in this situation because of the public embarrassment of Hydra taking over Shield and infiltrating the Government it's highly unlikely that they would go after her for contempt of Congress because publicly she would be a hero and it wouldn't look good on the Government's part after all their mistakes with Shield

2023-07-08 20:16:51 +0000 UTCY'all are the first people to ever say they liked the first cap film over this one , didn't understand the problem u had with Natasha in the car with Steve....the movie has a serious tone to it but I don't see them coming off that to lighten up the mood with harmless random conversations about cap personal life. I looked at it as nat was trying to get to know him a bit more when in the avengers they didn't have time to bond that way.

2023-07-08 04:05:56 +0000 UTCHannah, the MCU tries to be consistent and adapts the comic books for the screen better than I thought they would initially but there is definitely suspension of disbelief needed over and above acceptance of superhuman powers, plot armor, and the like. Also, the desire to be dramatic or impactful often will override the reality of situations as a matter of favoring story progression but that goes back to suspension of disbelief. Working with such an expensive and broadly intended set of properties means the MCU isn’t going to favor some of the risks/approaches other films might take. And for both you and Tori, you’re not alone feeling unsatisfied/uncomfortable about the way Black Widow approaches her interactions with Cap in this film. Evans and Johansson have a natural chemistry from years of knowing each other and working together on multiple films outside the MCU. And script wise, it appeared that they wanted to appeal/pander to audiences not invested in the comics and wanted a romantic subtext since that would generally be the counter programming Hollywood tends to encourage (it’s rare a big budget movie can have attractive people spend all that time together on screen without at least hinting at something romantic). I think it’s most egregious in this film for Cap and Black Widow and is much better handled moving forward but obviously, you’ll decide for yourselves as the movies continue. And for anyone who thinks I’m being critical, I’m a big fan of what the MCU has done and have watched everything multiple times. I also think everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I don’t think my views invalidate anyone else’s and vice versa. I’m genuinely pleased and surprised at how they’ve made the Avengers work so well, as it was a mid-tier comic book for me (I’m an X-Man fan who feels almost all of those cinematic adaptations via Fox have been terrible (Deadpool and Logan being excellent) and hopes Disney does them better but will just have to see).

"The truth is a matter of circumstances; it's not all things to all people all the time." She presents herself to trick the cynical and gullible. How ironic!
