The final episode will arrive on Patreon next week, followed by Serenity, soon after. Both have already been recorded and are waiting to be processed.
As always, we watched this episode on Amazon Prime. The show starts at the 1 minute and 41 seconds mark.

It's always funny to me when people get mad at Mal for sleeping with Nandi. Inara has just, in no uncertain terms, told him once again that their relationship has to remain strictly a business one. Is Mal supposed to remain celibate for their entire "will they won't they" arc, just in case she changes her mind at some point? Because so far he seemingly has been, and getting mad at him for, as far as we know, having sex once in who knows how many months is a bit much. I get why Inara is upset, though. It's complicated.

2024-08-22 19:18:33 +0000 UTCFirst time I saw this ep and heard Rance finish his opening statement with the threat to to Petaline, I swear I quoted Sean Penn as Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High and shouted, "You DICK!!" (and I did it again today lol) Truly he's one foul turd of a person - I won't call him a man bc he ain't. Hell, not really even a person... Chris' point is spot on so I don't have to touch on that. Now... SPOILER alert! Don't read further if you plan to read any of the published written Firefly or Serenity stories, especially the latter. The book novels supposedly happen between show and movie, the comics/graphic novels happen after the movie. If you don't plan to read any of those, fine. Read on. I do recommend reading THE SHEPHERD'S TALE comic (Serenity #3) because the story is, imho, a riveting one and a great red. Now the SPOILERS: --------- After the movie Zoe finds she's pregnant and does have Wash's baby, little Emma. Inara and Mal do begin their relationship in earnest and guess who??? Yo-Saff-Bridge does come back for more adventures. So do a couple of peeps we thought were quite dead, and one who swore he'd never be seen again. We learn a lot more about River - and the OTHER girls - and the people who want her back. That's enough spoiling. I DID WARN YOU.

2023-12-12 16:12:53 +0000 UTCAlthough I definitely think Mal was wrong for ignoring his feelings for Inara and sleeping with Mandy, I also think there is some blame for things getting so complicated to be put on Inara as well for never telling Mal how she felt about him (to the same degree that Mal was at fault for not telling Inara how he felt).

2023-12-12 08:54:03 +0000 UTCI don't think Mal really objects to sex workers. He just doesn't like the idea of being in a relationship with someone who is. Plenty of people would not want their spouse/partner to be a sex worker, not because of morality, but because of jealousy. Even Inara didn't like the idea of Mal being with Nandi.

2023-08-26 16:51:28 +0000 UTCThis is actually my least favorite episode of the series. It just felt too cliche and formulaic to me. It did have some good bits, though, so I still enjoy it. One episode to go!
