2024-01-31 21:22:14 +0000 UTCJan 26 almost 7 PM EST ONE NEW copy left for US $39.85, but Used copies are available starting at just US $3.55. Book IS a Shepherd in the show... But he wasn't always... As I said in a comment for one of the episodes, this is a very good story, though of course with a sad 'ending' (find a copy and read it and you'll know why I put that word in quotes). Joss is co-writer because the story was his idea but he enlisted his brother Zack to turn it into a real story. Joss liked the result and so do most of us Browncoats!! :D Ahhhh.... Serenity now!!

2024-01-27 00:03:30 +0000 UTCHelluva way to put it LOL :D Forget the new guy, even the old suits were mad bc Joss didn't create the show they wanted (or so they thought - if they had just WAITED!). They wanted a kind of 'Buffy-alike' and Joss would have gotten Firefly into that realm (of super-heroics), only set in space and on other worlds, just no alien species or monsters (Reavers were humans but altered, you'll see; oh wait you DID lol).

The surgery took approx. two hours (including rest breaks) and he was helped by two colleagues who held mirrors and lights so he could see what he was doing.

2023-08-27 11:52:12 +0000 UTCYou probably already know this by now, but this was not intended to be the last episode of the season, much less of the series. At the time, a typical season was around 24 episodes, so cutting it off after 14 was unexpected. As for the way Fox messed things up, apparently that was at least partly deliberate. A new guy was put in charge, and he didn't want his predecessor's projects to succeed.

2023-08-13 07:47:42 +0000 UTCHannah & Toy, we all felt the same about this ending … and wanted more but the network’s dumb decision making during the season (scheduling, rearranging episode order, etc) led us to to where you were at the time of the recording. Since you’ve seen the movie, I can say that it does give some closure at least but if you’re looking for info on Book’s past, there’s a graphic novel called The Shepherd’s Tale (co-written by Joss Whedon) which is supposed to do that and I think you can get it on Amazon or of course delve into the internet for the spoilers if you wish.
