As you can tell from my profile pic, this movie had a HUGE impact on me when i was younger. I even got to go to Chicago with a friend when I was in high school and see a lot of the streets and areas they filmed the chase scene at. Such a great movie with an amazing cast (so many cameos)! Love all the music in this and also their album Briefcase Full of Blues they released after this. Great reaction ladies!

My friend just changed the carpet and inner door panel, put a blanket over the deat and drove it for a few years. π I wonder if the whisk is supposed to be something someone tricked Ray into accepting as pay? π

2024-09-27 17:33:40 +0000 UTCI'm so happy that Abby got her view changed on these guys, learning that they're not creepy basement guys, just normal everyday criminal hoodlums. :D I saw this as a kid, the neighbor kid showed it to me, he thought it was great. I didn't like it at the time. Watched it again in my teens, and by then I had grown a better appreciation of music and knew who many of the people in this movie were, now I love it!! It kinda gets me thinking though, I don't know if I even was in school, and the other kid was a couple years younger than me. Imagine a 4-5 year old kid recommending this movie to you? :D Side note, a friend of mine bought a used cop car that had been sold through an auction. He bought it online, but once it was shipped over here to Sweden he saw what wasn't revealed in the photos. The entire left side of the car had a streak of bullet holes in it, and although the seat and visible parts of the carpet were halfhearted cleaned, the carpet under the seat was just a big blood stain. Not that nifty... Although I've seen this movie 40 million times it wasn't until now I noticed a detail in Ray CharlesΒ΄ music store. What's an electric whisk doing there???? In swedish itd be a fun pun as we have the same word for whisk and drum brush, it's actually a running joke around musicians that they use acoustic whisks instead of electrical... Well, it doesn't work out in english, so why is it there? :D It was great watching this with you, loved your reaction to it! Some excellent faces were made, seemed like almost the whole scene at Bob's Country Bunker made Toy cringe!! xD Loved this, and I'm so happy you know this movie now! <3

I met all the actors and they were such cool people to meet. The only actor that took me a while to talk to was Dominic Percel. Half was during production i accidentally said hey Dominic he said whatβs up to me. He became a very cool dude after that. Other than that everyone was cool
