AVP Full Length Reaction (Toy and Abby)

I have read that too but not sure why those movies make this one not canon (but we can save that disucssion for when they see those because I don't want to spoil anything for the girls).

2024-11-13 07:41:34 +0000 UTCOk, to help clarify it a little for Abby, Mr Charles Bishop Weilan in this was insanely rich and his company (in the future it still exists) was who hired and sent Riply and the crew of the Nostromo out when they first find the Alien. Then sends her and the marines back to the planet in Aliens. The Bishop android is modeled to look like him. For Toy, great job on knowing the Xenomorph takes on the attributes of its host (a really great comic is Superman vs Alien). Also there is a Predator series of comics that has a human female that earns the Predators' respect so she goes with them and becomes part of thier tribe. The woman in this movie was heavily inspired by that character. I think the reason this one is not as well liked is because there aren't a lot of suspense moments and it definitely more action based. You see both creatures pretty quickly so the suspense is not setup as well as it was in either the Alien or Predator movies. Looking forward to your guys' reaction to AVP Requiem.

2024-11-13 07:40:25 +0000 UTCNow many fans consider this movie and it’s sequel are part of it’s own universe, independent from both the Alien and the Predator universe. The more recent films of Prometheus and Alien Convent have made this not canon to Alien universe. The actor that played Mr. Wayland is Lance Henrickson, who you might have seen in Aliens as android Bishop and as a cop in Terminator.
