Plum's Writing Schedule - Update 2/10/25

Hey all! I'm trying to balance three stories right now, and it's going okay, but I'm going to shift things around a little. Here's the plan:

Mon and Wed - Vainglory chapters

Tues, Thurs, Sun - Victor of Tucson chapters (back to how it used to be)

Fri and Sat - Neon Dust chapters

That said, I've been writing seven days a week now for a while. Months. It's not a problem right now because I've been having fun doing it. Still, if I start to feel like it's wearing on me, I'll probably call an audible and plan a day or two off.

Obviously, if you read all of my stories, you get the most from my Patreon. So... if you're here for only one of them, maybe give the others a try! :)

Plans:

Vainglory - Finish Book 3 and then take a pause to see how well-received Book 1 is on KU/Audible

Victor of Tucson - Currently planning 12 books. Could change.

Neon Dust - Finish Book 2 and evaluate the situation. I need to write cyberpunk/sci-fi some of the time, or part of my brain gets really bored. Hopefully, the story will find a good-sized audience.

Cyber Dreams - Nothing concrete planned. Heck, maybe I can start "Series 2" and alternate releases with Neon Dust. It would take a ton of planning.

FWFW - I have ideas but nothing planned. Every month I spend away from it, the harder it feels to go back. Sorry if that's depressing to anyone (other than me.)

Victor is such a well written character that I’d read 15 books if you wrote them. I very much have enjoyed this character & story.

Thank you :) I love writing it!

Hi Plum, love your work. Keep up the cyber punk it's so great!

Thank you 🙏 Have you tried Neon Dust yet, by any chance?

I miss Cyber Dreams. I originally started reading for Victor, but I think Cyber Dreams scratched an itch that we don't see much in LitRPG type writing. I love when technology and "magic" come together for some badass-ness. Totally understand putting it down but I have my fingers crossed for some day it coming back. Also take the time ya need. Burnout is no fun.

For the kind of character victor started out as I feel he would be comfortable at a veil walker level. For his evolving pride as an elder race??? Also you have dropped a few bread crumbs for beings after the veil walker stage that I feel at some point we need an appropriate demonstration of what that entails. When Dar said he felt insignificant while in the fae court that is a statement. Are these beings who can end planets with a snap of their fingers? Is that a power level of any being in the story?

H3ll

A common criticism of that story, yes.

Plum Parrot

Fallen with folded wings didnt work for me and I quit reading two thirds into the first book. Ensamble cast and too much viewpoint switching just doesnt work for me.

Hey Plum! I don’t know if you can manage to finish all the Victor stuff in a couple more books. There feels like so much more to his story to explore. You know best but know that there’s plenty of us yearning for more Victor!

ConstantWonder

A great series that takes place in the same world as Victor or Tucson. It’s fantastic.

MORE VICTOR YEAAAHHHHHH

Mason

TBF, VoT IS a cultivation story. If you squint at it. From a distance. Ascending to a higher realm and starting over is par for the course.

I haven’t gotten to read Neon Dust yet (it’s in next up!) but I’m very obsessed with Cyber Dreams. And I’m super excited to see more done in that world like ND. But I’d love to see more in that world and maybe vaguely connected to Juliet in some way. For sure understand giving CD a break and needing space from it for all the reasons you’ve said in the past. All the more reason for me to get Neon Dust read!

Lawton Braun

Thanks, Hoff! I hope you try more ND - I think it gets more and more exciting, hehe.

My first series, Falling with Folded Wings

What's FWFW?

Girl

YES more Victor

Angryrhino

I want more Cyber Dreams, but I get one the need of a break, two the farther you get the harder it's able to pick up. I dropped Neon Dust to much slice of life. Maybe I dropped to soon. I know I'll try again in the future Edit: Make sure to take time for yourself. Even having fun can lead to burnout. Speaking from experience

Oh, the joy of having more Victor to read, and the sadness that it'll end sooner that way. Good to hear that we're getting audiobooks of your other stories. I'm struggling a bit with my recent Audible purchases.....

Reno

Well, I have plans for 11 and 12, and honestly, I'm going to have to see how I feel about the story as I write those high-tier hijinks. I want my readers to be satisfied with Victor's story, and I've never intended to write a never-ending serial like some others. Not because I judge them poorly, but because I didn't plan his story that way. He climbed the ranks too fast for that. I think people would be irritated if I started him from scratch or bumped him up to a new universe where everyone was suddenly stronger.

Plum Parrot

It's pretty obvious how victor end once he uses his royal jelly at level 100. He'll rank up to veil walker and do a "whole new world" end. So yes, the end is nigh.

matt

Do you plan on finishing Victor of Tucson by book 12? Or you are planning the plot up to that book
