Some things are so loud you can't hear them. Your brain can't process the sheer volume. The sound just becomes energy, and the force of it is so intense that you feel it with your skin and bones. Everything shakes. Everything hurts.

The dome of energy expanded like a soap bubble over Lovi Palace, atomizing it, sucking the pieces of the castle into the laser-like column of black light pouring from the sky. The column grew larger, and as it did, a rumble spread through the world. Panting, fighting panic, I hammered on Karalti's neck and yelled. If any sound was coming out of my throat, I couldn't tell. There was a BOOM that seemed to stop my heart... and then we were flying sidewards instead of down as the first shockwave hit. It engulfed the Dracul and tore it apart like a bird nest. It engulfed the armies battling on the streets, every building, the city walls like a tsunami of raw force. Dust rose as the city fell, rushing toward us at blinding speed. It hooked us from underneath, and suddenly we were flying upward, carried on a column of scalding hot shrapnel. Even with my mutations, the gyroscopic orientation ability conveyed by the Trial of Marantha, I couldn't tell up from down as we were thrown around like specks of confetti in a tornado.

I was pretty sure this is what Hell sounded like.
