TAA v9.0.9 Test Version

*Added "Sharpen Edges" option for TAA Clarity/+. You can use that to apply different amount of sharpening filter to aliased edges. Its recommended to set this value to higher than "Sharpness" setting.

**For example; I'm using 4k 27" monitor with TAA Clarity so I don't need extra sharpening but because TAA applied to aliased edges they are a little bit blurry/smooth. So I set Sharpness = 0 and Sharpen Edges = 5, that way I get more crispy clean image without over sharpening all of the image.

VR & Multimonitor supported.

It doesn't have DLSS/DLAA, T.SSAO features currently. Will be added later after fixing issues (if there is).

Edit: In occurred to me I wasn't launching the game with DirectX 11 (but that hadn't been a problem in the past so I never gave it a thought). Anyway downloaded version 9 again (from your website instead of here), launched with DirectX 11 and everything seems fine now. Hi, VR player here (Quest 2). I'm having an issue in which the mod is causing a strange shimmering 'curtain' with vertical lines, in front of my eyes when I get into the game (both ETS2 and ATS). Everything else in VR is fine, including the game's menu and loading screens, but as as soon as I hit 'Drive' and it puts me in the cab, there it is. If i keep perfectly still it stops, but as soon as I move my head (especially looking down) this veil or curtain appears again. I've removed the two files and the game works fine (except for the terrible aliasing your mod removes).

The difference between v8 and v9 is clarity. I made v9 to add new graphic improvements I'm working on also with VR/Multimonitor support. I added clarity options for VR and people who likes less blurry more crispy results. Clarity options do not include 2nd pass rendered from game (like some objects, road lines etc), thats why it cannot apply TAA to edge of these objects. Because amount of TAA applied is pretty low to undetected pixels which results in some flickering but more crispy results. Default TAA is applied to detected edges like in this image. As you can see It doesn't detect everything, lines on road are not included etc. If you want smooth experience like old TAA, you should use default TAA (there might a little bit flickering edges compared to v8 TAA Rev.2 because v9 is trying to lower ghosting as much as possible). If you prefer result closer to original but without aliasing as much as possible, use clarity options. https://i.imgur.com/YfaiXKX.jpeg

I'd say that some of the white paint on the roads still has aliasing. I do not use "Clarity" options at all as they just turn those lines into flickering mess in VR. I use regular TAA option without any clarity maxed out to 3 and sharpness slider on 6. And some of the white paint still has aliasing, but it's nowhere near as noticable as without TAA. As I understand from the image below, AA is only appliled to geometry edges. White lines on the road are not geometry, but decals/textures. Not a big deal at all, just something to keep in mind maybe for the future updates.

Not sure, its up to you, you should try different settings

Snowy Moon

great job friend, thank you very much. What do you recommend for configuration with my current setting: 3440x1440 monitor, 34" and I use PNG mod?

Claudio Zambrano

Played for about 2 hours in VR. No issues observed in game . Interface is working cleanly.
