The last year America was not at war by conventional definition was 2000. People are nearly able to vote who have never known even that paltry dictionary definition of peace. What does it say about a world view to be born and live and die in perpetual war? To have fighting it be a part of life that intersects with all beings? The year is UC 0087. Most of us have grown up in a state where war has been perpetual and unyielding. What does it say about a generation to grow up wanting a peace they've never seen, a life that has never been real?
