Hey, I'm a fellow Aussie, my teen years were similar, I watched and read all these books and movies and wanted to have friendships and experiences like in the movies and I don't have those friends that I can call when I'm upset at whatever time but I desperately want those kinds of friends and experiences but I'm in the same boat ive only got 18 more months of being a teenager. I understand how you're feeling and I feel the same way.

I also am from Australia and I totally get the same feeling. All that tv show teen stuff that takes place at night and doing late night stuff I never really did and it wasn't until I was late into being 18 and being 19 now that I actually have started to have those experiences with friends of mine I have had since year 7
