Okay, I just watched the clip online. I liked it! It is morphing, but I do like the cracking bound sounds and the fact that he's in an immense pain the whole time. That sounded horrible, but since this drawing is made with the intention of drawing body horror, then it's relevant~

The idea of him being lost in the transformation whether from the pain of his body twisting, tearing, and contorting into his new form or simply his new biology is making demands of him that require him to dissociate from reality to simply accept the truth of his new life is interesting to say the least. I do have to question who he was before, though. Alongside this transformation being temporary, for I hope his family, friends, and loved ones are spared the pain of his loss of autonomy.
