GameDev log #5(+1?)

Hey yall I'm glad I actually have time to write this, the personal stuff going in my life that had me busy from last month but what we're here for is the awaited trriggered bakery GameDev log, as always there'll the game part of things and the dev part of things (aka me)

Game Log:

I'm glad you guys like the new chapter I put a lot of work into that one (as i do with them all), I always try to add something unique to each chapter however this isn't something that's forced but rather something i want to try!

I've been researching how I could do an undo and skip button after the last time failed and I think I found a proper solution to add these two button, trust me yall I've been trying real hard to learn this stuff I just didn't realize how complicated a chat system like this could be(at least for someone new).

However something you guys should be seeing in the next update(not the Sunday one) is improvment on the ui. Don't worry I'm not gonna be vague with that lol. I plan on changing the font that i use for the chat because some of you have shown me screenshots of the text not working(things i never experienced for some reason),

I also plan on increasing size of the screen for the game. The aspect ratio will remain the same but you guys will see an improvement and here is a pic for the work in progress.

Like I said work in progress lol

Oh and one last thing, I think I'm competent enough to work on the gogile app now in the game. What you should expect from it in the following updates are as follow

• "Job" system where you solve picture puzzles and get coins

• Coins will be used to buy stuff in the gogile app

• Stuff could be pictures of characters not related to the game

• Stuff is in this post as an example

Once I learn how to use the dialogic system more I will link it to the gogile and gallery system because right now I really don't like how separate they are. What I mean by this is I would like the images for you to unlock naturally or use coins to unlock images or if you want since you guys are Patreons just unlock the images(but that's cheating).

I'm gonna frank with yall I wouldn't expect this all to happen by next month but I do want to let you guys know what's coming, at the very least you'll see snippets of them

Dev Log:

On the dev end of things I haven't made much progress as I would've liked but I can read code well to a degree it no longer feels like I'm guessing (as much at least lol) I still need to finish my book for learning godot!

I've been getting a lot of messages considering my personal health on these updates while I'm not gonna lie to you guys I did kind of burn out and crash, I really don't want that to happen again so I'll have to work on myself to not have that problem but to be honest, I really do enjoy working on this project, it's fun for me and I have big plans with Felicia story that I think none of you will expect. I already left some of those clues in the chapters I believe starting chapter 6?.

Besides I feel if someone like the Stardew Vallery Game Dev can put in crazy hours into his game (which is way more complicated then mine) then I can do something similar on a (way) smaller scale lol

Oh yeah since you guys seemed to love the Halloween special so much I plan on having a Christmas Special, I have an Idea but not sure what the theme would be, so we'll see on that.

An Update on rpg maker, I did buy it because it was on sale and you guys voted yes plus that's what the whole point of patreon is lol.

I still plan on making a game on rpg maker however in order to avoid over promising and not delivering I will only start working on it after I am happy with the state of this game which is most likely when I get it out of the demo phase. That way the game is stable enough for me to add stuff and I'm probably gonna be smarter by then.

I'm sorry if that disappoints some of you however I just want to be as transparent as possible with yall since this project would never exist without any of you so I owe you all that at the minimum.

One last thing before I finish this post, I really appriciate your dms about liking the game or even about felicia and anything nsfw related to her but please remember that I am also a person and I don't appreciate the advances some of you make on me. I know it's funny considering I am nsfw dev but it makes me uncomfortable so quit doing that. Like I said though if you want to talk about nsfw stuff about the characters or just ideas I will always be ok with just nothing directed at me please!

Also for the people confused on who felilia and felix is, Felilia is a character you guys will see soon don't worry and felix has been mentioned a few times throughout the story and even in my Patreon
