The moon is a silver galleon over the water tonight. An airy southern breeze that occasionally rustles her long dark hair; the evening is temperate, pleasant. Calm.

And yet, his mind is racing.

For a few moments now, neither of them has said a word. The quiet is comfortable. She smiles and takes up her wine. He smiles back. They meet eyes over the rims of their glasses. She giggles.

She's so beautiful, he thinks, watching her profile, her elegant neck as she turns to look out at the dark sea. Then, as the same thought that's been bouncing around in his head all night surfaces once again, he blinks, almost twitching. I can't believe she still gets spanked!
