Doing early morning door-to-door missionary visits with a sore bottom is the closest to being in Hell Eliza hopes to ever get.

Asking strangers if they’ve heard the Good News of Jesus Christ would be bad enough, but, of course, Morgan has dibs on the car, which means that if Eliza wants to finish her route before sundown, she has to ride her ten-speed bicycle.

Every turn of the pedal is a fresh agony for her well-spanked caboose, and pretty soon she’s struggling not to cry out loud. Passerbys must think she’s completely crazy: if not for the fact that she’s wearing an ankle-length skirt in the 20th century, then probably because she looks as though the act of sitting on the bike seat is going to bring her to tears.

After a few hours of torment, her butt cheeks are begging for a break. So she walks her bike down the uptown strip, unpacks the sandwich she brought in her backpack and buys a coffee at a news stand. To let her rear end “air out,” she ducks into the changing stall of a dry cleaners and changes into a shorter skirt (her mother prefers for her to dress “modestly” when doing the Lord’s work, but the odds of running into her this far uptown are low). Now she’s walking her bike past the store fronts, munching on her sandwich, and deep in thought. Finally, she comes to the place she didn’t realize she’d been heading towards the entire time...

In honor of every spankos favorite holiday, I thought it would be fun to release TWO chapters of this spooky novel-in-progress. Things are really  getting crazy now for Eliza and her step-sister! I'm having probably too much fun with it -- I've really cranked the humiliation up in Chapter 4, as you can tell by the tags.

This month has been strange: I've actually done a TON of writing, but I haven't posted very much. That's because I'm trying to finish these projects before posting them...and now I'm sitting on several completed stories and chapters.
