Arizona farmer Walter Colby (Woody Strode) and his wife, Birch (Altovise Davis), have a problem on their hands: One of their cows was just killed by a creature, but they have no idea what the beast could have been. So they consult local vet Dr. Robert Hansen (William Shatner), who becomes puzzled and calls in scientist Diane Ashley (Tiffany Bolling). Eventually, the duo discovers that oversize spiders are invading the small town, putting the entire population in danger as a county fair begins.

Yes, I guess you missed the mention of the serum David! LOL! William Shatner did the original Star Trek TV series which lasted for 3 seasons from 1966 to 1969. When William Shatner did Kingdom of the Spiders in 1977, it was only two years before he did the first Star Trek movie in 1979 which was STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE.

There was supposed to be a sequel to this in the 80s with William Shatner returning as Rack but Canon Studios went bankrupt so the sequel never got made. There was a novelization to this film and there was extra scenes written down that were not in the movie like a helicopter flying over the town covered in webs and reporting on the radio. Well, thanks again to reacting to this movie my friend! Looking forward to your Crimson Tide reaction and also Earthquake! 😊👍
