Great comments! So glad I could spark your nostalgia! That's insane about Bon Jovi and Tom Cruise !

Oh and supposedly Pat Garret put another body in that casket. True story is nobody ever witnessed a body. Brushy Bills friends all said it was true that he was Billy the Kid. It would be cool if true. I do believe Brushy Bill is was Billy from the documentaries Ive seen. Apparently the reason the courts or the state won't even look into it is bc the tourist industry for Billy already set in place there in New Mexico . What would happen if they exhumed the body and find its not him buried there. New Mexico loses all those dollars.

I loved that you enjoyed everything that my brothers and I enjoyed about these movies growing up. Billy's laugh for one, his one liners. The idea that Emilio was born to play Billy the Kid, so true. But man you got me with that tear for Chavez bc that part always gets me too. Beautifully directed. The way it was done. He whispers Chavez, he turns and looks at him with a small nod and they both know it means goodbye friend. Ugh, with the soundtrack playing, him walking through the cemetery with that camera angle tilted up at him with the gravevstones showing (love that shot). Then the spirit horse comes. No doubt iconic films. And sadly it does get hate sometimes or for the most part many of this generation doesnt even know about it, they usually think of Tombstone (which I also love). Little fact, the shootout in Lincoln when Billy rescues Doc and Chavez, when the other prisoners come out and escape and that one gets blown away back into the pit, that was Bon Jovi! Lol He asked Emilio to put him in the film and that's how Bon Jovi got his SAG card. Also, going back to part one, the ending shootout, when Charlie comes out the house and starts shooting, the first guy he shoots is Tom Cruise! Lol True story. Tom was friends with Emilio from their time making The Outsiders, Tom went by the Young Guns set and wanted to play a guy getting shot, they suited him up. If you rewatch that scene you will see his face. Sorry for the long post. But these are some of my fave movies from childhood. I get very excited lol And...Part 3 is in the works . 😎

Loved this reaction Dave 😎 it's always been a part of folklore that Pat Garritt faked the death of Billy because of their personal history, its never been proven and never will be unfortunately.
