Legends Of The Fall (1994) *REACTION*

In early 20th-century Montana, Col. William Ludlow (Anthony Hopkins) lives in the wilderness with his sons, Tristan (Brad Pitt), Alfred (Aidan Quinn) and Samuel (Henry Thomas). Eventually, the unconventional but close-knit family encounters tragedy when Samuel is killed in World War I. Tristan and Alfred survive their tours of duty, but, soon after they return home, both men fall for Samuel's gorgeous fiancée, Susannah (Julia Ormond), and their intense rivalry begins to destroy the family.

I am so glad I was able to finally watch this one for you guys. I know how special it meant for you especially. Yes , the bear scene at the end got me as well. Edward Zwick has an amazing track record of movies. I have seen Glory. I did a reaction for it on YouTube .

My favorite reaction to this movie, a personal top 5 film for me. Dude, I cried at all the moments you did. It's like being able to watch it new again in a way. Thanks for that. Tristans only reason to go to war was to protect Samuel. If you go back to the scene where the Col. Ludlow (dad) says goodbye to the sons going to war he tells Tristan to take care of Samuel. And Tristan assures him he will. That makes it more powerful and Tristans guilt and demons even more understood. Did you notice in the end when fighting the bear, he's wearing his father's fur coat. Edward Zwick is my favorite director. Very powerful epic filmmaker. His great titles Glory , Legends of the Fall, and The Last Samurai all have a similar way of telling story through letters or journals by the characters. All gorgeous cinematography. Have you seen Glory? Another epic. And he has a great film called "Defiance" with Daniel Craig , true story about the holocaust. Very underrated director. James Horner killed it with the score. That main violin theme The Ludlows my daughter has always planned to play that at my wedding, if I ever get married. Maybe one day. Lol Masterpiece film. Thanks again so much for loving it the way you did. This is a personal one for me.
