To be fair the reason we relate Munchkin Land or Munchkin Country as it's described in the books with short people. Is because of the 1939 movie. In the books many of the residents of Munchkin Country are normal height. Also the ruby slippers everyone knows of, were silver in the books. Which the movie recognizes both when they show the silver slippers carried in a case lined with rubies.

2025-01-12 04:54:08 +0000 UTCUhm, no, Galinda gets no praise for cleaning up her cruelty by joining and "befriending" Elphaba at the dance because the only reason she suddenly "feels sorry" for what she did is because Elphaba basically handed Galinda her lifelong dream on a silver platter by getting her into the sorcery class. She was a vapid self-centered bully in the first half of the movie, then after Elphaba's kindness to her that she does not deserve, she "befriends", and then at the end of the movie she gaslights and backstabs Elphaba to side with the fascist Wizzard of Oz.
