Weekly Update, August 15th
Added 2021-08-15 20:48:38 +0000 UTCWell we're somewhere around the halfway point on this month, with ROUGHLY that much done of the update. Maybe a little less than I'd like, this week wasn't quite as productive due to internet and irl issues, but still pretty good.
I guess the obvious part is that Ashley's art is done and I've gotten most of the setup done for it, I'll probably continue previewing expressions each week until release 'cuz she's got a lot of memorable ones lmao. Also a bit more Sam expression/overlay stuff that came out super cute.
In terms of non-art-related stuff, there's been decent progress on stuff, from the Sarah scene to planning out all the moving bits of the next PLOOOT(tm) scene that will finally kickstart the story back into gear as you approach Badon.
Also, a lot of new abilities, maaaaybe too many; I'm trying to make good use of conditionals so you can combo abilities and statuses in a more interesting way than JUST spamming the same nuke. You can still do that, I just want there to be other options too.
Ideally with the damaging status rework, over the next few updates it'll be more viable to specialize in statuses, combos, defensive stuff, and the like, rather than the best solution to most problems being your spammable 120% nuke.
