Monster Art Preview 1 - Boars
Added 2021-11-30 00:42:55 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned in the weekly update, we're getting some fantastic monster art due to the talented Garrisen on discord! We're starting off with the weakest enemy, the corrupted boars you fight at the very start of the game. Yes, they're melting a little. No, that is not lime ice cream.
You may notice that he looks a bit more green than purple, like the succs. This was SORTA planned from the start but admittedly not worked out that well until recently, but Nether magic isn't all black or purple - it depends a bit on both the user and which Nether entity or concept you may be drawing power from.
Thankfully I can get monster art MUCH cheaper than character art - for reference, Sarah art alone ($315) cost more than 5x the entire pack of monsters I'll preview ($60), which includes the temple abomination uber-boss which is absolutely massive and incredibly detailed. This little guy ($6) was... less than 1/50th of Sarah's cost lmao.
So don't worry about me canceling character art in favor of monsters. I just think it'll be fun to add a little more flavor to the stuff you're fighting.
