You and Kailen Elethaine alongside two other fledgling adventurers have taken on your first contract from a proper guild! However, things go terribly wrong as a terrifying abomination stalks you in the crypts you've been sent to clear of undead and reanimated skeletons. With two party members missing and Kailen severely wounded, it is up to you to make a choice. The two of you take shelter in an abandoned crypt. The low stone walls and damp ground make for terrible comfort; but it is all that you can afford in this perilous situation. Pale, panting, and blood flowing from beneath their armor, the elven lanceman tries to stand to no avail. You console them, offering them what little you can provide given the circumstances before a terrible noise comes from the other side of the lone slab you pushed against the door to the chamber you're in...
