Ko-Fi Drive Progress - Korone Color Tests

Februaries are usually my busiest months, so I decided that I will be giving out something I've been doing for some of the commissions and Patron artwork this month during my art lows: Color Testing.

Color Testing and Build-Ups

Normally for most commissions or stuff like the ☕Drives of characters that are far from my typical style, the final product is actually not always the only version it has. During art lows, my style tends to go all over the place. It gets wildly inconsistent and it usually doesn't give the best results.

When I start to struggle (as it happened with Korone here), I sometimes just scribble out headshots or busts to experiment and test out colors and layer setups. Since I tend to standarize my setups so I can draw more consistently, every successive attempt tends to build upon the other by default. They aren't really meant to look final but if I like the results enough I can transfer everything (line art setups, colors and layer blends) into the newest attempt.

All in all, what you're seeing here isn't really meant to be finished as much as it is an interactive color palette for self-reference purposes/build upon each attempt so far!

About the Korone + Future Content

For this next ☕Drive, Korone will have Milla's Freedom Planet 2 outfit. While I am still thinking of how to go about her pose for this one, I figured I'd at least show how it's progressing as a idea so far while talking about this process.
