Liquid physics fail
Added 2018-07-27 05:11:04 +0000 UTCThis was a little test I was messing around with a couple of days ago for a beach inspired scene. The general idea was to have Vanessa running into a set of waves, but the scale of the scene quickly became a huge issue- the waves shown here are almost 6 feet tall when I actually intended them on being closer to 2-3 feet instead. Unfortunately changing the way that worked involved increasing the resolution of the simulation, which multiplied the total number of particles exponentially to the point that the entire thing quickly became unfeasible to calculate.
Nevertheless, it was still an interesting experiment in fluid dynamics. I'll probably try to leverage something else like this in the future for some interesting shots- albeit on a much smaller and more manageable scale (the scene pictured above was approximately 40 meters wide by 60 meters long).
