Yeah yeah yeah...
I know- they're not boobs (insert "hopefully they're still a nice pair of cans!" joke here)... But at least they're going into a scene that will be used to render out boobs in the near future.
These are the underwater lamps I landed up modeling for my pool scene. They kinda took an embarrassing amount of time to get right, since all the shortcuts I tried to take seemed to fail when viewed from some extreme angle (which occurred way more often than you might think, usually due to the slightly wavy surface and IOR of the pool water). Eventually I gave up and just modeled everything that was visible from the front of the unit, then textured the whole thing all the way down to the GE label on the 300W R40 light bulb. This is the end result.
On a side note, I know seem to know an excessive amount of information about pool lighting. Why is it that these projects always land up turning me into some sort of pseudo-expert on a totally unrelated topic?
