new month, new art (plus info for sketch and speedpaint tiers)

i've mentioned some of these to a few of you, and in general those pieces have across the board ended up higher quality without having to work at an uncomfortable pace. I want to make clear that you dont -have- to follow these guidelines, but i would really prefer if you did so I can

a note to sketch and speed paint tiers: i hope you guys have been enjoying your pieces! while i've previously allowed people to get more or less whatever they wanted, after a few months of looking through the projects im establishing some general guidelines from now on. these are based on whats resulted in the most successful pieces, as well as what has been the least physically strenuous to complete in the allotted time. the new guidelines are:

--for the sketch tier: --

-i will now be focusing much more on accuracy than completion. that means full-body pics, complicated poses, multiple characters, complicated characters, etc will be a lot more likely to be just shaded lineart without color or cleanup. if you want polish (shading, colors, smooth lines), please use simple characters (no/few spots or patterns) or close-up scenes.

--for the speed paint tier--

- i will no longer be offering thumbnail pose options for most projects by default. if you -really- want options, if or if the pose -really- needs the options, then I will still do them, but do consider that it takes up 1/4th of the time for the project itself

- i -STRONGLY- suggest to make your speedpaint a solo, or close up duo pic. adding an additional full-body character in a 4 hour time frame effectively cuts my time per character in half, which is brutal if the character's design or the pose is complex . if you want 2 characters, try to use characters that are wingless, flat/2tone colors, and/or lacking in patterning, or really simple and easy to do poses so i don't have difficulty completing it in time
