Announcing our 100th Patron! (and a great question from Adam Segar)

Today we surpassed our big goal of signing up 100 patrons! As promised, I've now invested in some badly needed new equipment; my hope is that we'll now be able to upload more and better videos and, hopefully, be able to accomplish a live broadcast/Q&A session.

After the announcement I'll answer a great question from Adam Segar about solo vs. group playing.

Adam, I find that playing solo allows me to explore new tunings and playing styles. Clifton's banjo - vocal work has been an inspiration to me. I play fiddle tunes with a group of 6 musicians (mandolin, dulcimer, fiddle, bass, and two banjos). We call ourselves the "Board Certified String Band". I also accompany a singer-songwriter in some interesting musical arrangements.

Thank you so much for the answer! You make me want to find a jam partner. Playing music alone has become a meditation for me. I've been too shy to play music with others, being self taught with no musical background. I'm sure i have some of those "bad habits" you mention as a result haha. As a content idea you could make some videos on jamming with others.
