I'm looking to buy fretless banjo. Any suggestions?

Paul Peers

One I should probably have myself!

For those with the interest to do some work themselves, "Complete Banjo Repair" by Larry Sandberg, published in 1992, is still available on Amazon - $9.95 for a used copy. it's a great resource for tinkering with and caring for your banjo.

Wow, they have some amazing banjos! That 7-string Buckbee...

Looks like a great resource, thanks.

If you live in Europe or the UK (maybe other places) this is a great place to buy. Pamela or Carole are helpful if you have questions. I have bought several good banjos and some fiddles here over the years. <a href="http://www.instrumentspast.co.uk/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.instrumentspast.co.uk/</a>

Hello everyone! Like one year ago I found this web page and if you are into building banjos or taking care of old instruments it might be helpful. They have a big variety of parts...maybe it is interesting. Cheers! <a href="https://rickardbanjos.com/store/hardware-parts-accessories/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://rickardbanjos.com/store/hardware-parts-accessories/</a>

Good work, Matzen. Anyone else have a list?

One day your Cedar Mountain banjo will be old too!

Here are some suggestions off the top of my head of other places to look for banjos: -Banjo Hangout's Marketplace -Mass Street Music -Gryphon Stringed Instruments -Bernunzio Uptown Music -Spruce Tree Music -Smakula Fretted Instruments -RetroFret Vintage Guitars -Reverb

I feel embarrassed by how much I spent on a brand new Cedar Mountain banjo! In my defence, I got my first two banjos at a pawn shop. One was thrown in free with the purchase of the other. The neck of the one I payed for cracked at the 5th string peg and the two luthiers I could find in my area could not repair it. I love Stella, my freebee banjo that I set up myself and found all the missing parts for with zero experience(!), but her 5th string peg slips and the luthier/guitar repair guy couldn't find a replacement part. Anyway, this scared me off of buying another old banjo (at least for now!) I needed one that was not going to slow down my progress! I just LOVE old things, though! One day...
