Easy Song List
Added 2018-02-22 12:15:45 +0000 UTCWill Coppage suggested that we compile "a list of more singable tunes." Here's a few that should be (when tuned a half or whole step lower than standard pitch) relatively easy for most male voices.
I have mentioned in another video that standard G tuning is a bit too high for me to comfortably sing and that I normally tune somewhat lower than standard pitch. The sound of the strings in relation to one-another remain the same, hence the term "relative tuning."
Here's a few more common songs that should be pretty singable for most:
gDGBD: Sourwood Mountain, Cumberland Gap, Trouble on My Mind/Trouble in Mind, Big Stone Gap, Lonesome Road Blues, Peg & Awl, Gambling Man,
gCGCD: Last Gold Dollar/Mole in the Ground, Been All Around this World, Stagolee,
gDGCD: Wild Bill Jones, Pretty Polly, Cumberland Gap (fDGCD), Cuckoo,
f#DF#AD: John Henry, Reuben,
Hopefully this is a good list to get you started off singing.

I would love to see a short lesson to get the "melody lick" down on banjo. I also perform Cindy in this same tuning (gCGCD). Do you play Skillet Good and Greasy? That would be another one I would like to get the melody lick under my belt.
