Pretty Polly | Instrumental Run (left hand)

After playing the basic melody of the song to orient us I go into this simple "bluesy" run which involves noting the 1st + 2nd strings at the fifth fret with some repeated drop-thumbing (look out for the right hand close up soon).

A hand full of years back I caught a video of you playing Wild Bill Jones in N.Y. I have been working on it off in on since then. Although the version I have cobbled is acceptable to me there was always something missing. Timing, particular rhythmic fingering etc. As I have been watching some of these 2FTL videos of yours I have been able to chase down some problem areas of how I was approaching this playing style. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! A question about this video: This lick you demonstrate here, is it the same lick you used in the Wild Bill Jones recording I mentioned above? There seems to be some similarity in parts of Wild Bill Jones and Pretty Polly. Thanks so much Clifton.
