Q&A | Top 5 Banjo Albums?

Well yall, I think I picked SIX albums and they're not all "banjo" albums... but here they are! These are all recordings that have deeply influenced my own banjo playing and singing.

Jonas, I have grown quite tired of organizations such as Appalshop and Smithsonian Folkways dragging their feet when it comes to getting music out to the public. George is busy with personal projects lately but, I hope, once he gets settled again he'll be advocating for his own albums to be re-stocked at Appalshop. For my own part, I'd better politely call them up again and see what's happening.

2018-05-23 21:23:24 +0000 UTCYes that's our living room. The house was built c. 1940 and is very similar to others in this area of N. Georgia/E. Tennessee of the same vintage. It's the brightest spot in our house and (in winter) the warmest so makes for a suitable stage or "set."
