Glad to hear it Michael. This was a really hard one to transcribe, actually.

YES! I have wanted to learn this for a while now, one of my favorite songs of all time. The only tab I had found up to this point was excessively complicated...so this is a blessing! Cheers

Update, took me a while but I got it, playing along at about 80% speed and loving it!

Luke McGrath

I know I probably shouldn't be asking but any chance you've got the tabs for this written out? I've been learning just over a year (bluegrass and a little clawhammer) and decided to start fingerstyle so I'm struggling a fair bit to keep track... short of stop-starting frame by frame I doubt I'll get very far.

Luke McGrath

Chad, glad to be of use to you! I encourage you to develop as many different approaches or "styles" as you want, you'll find that it opens up more and more worlds as you progress. Having the freedom to approach each song differently, choosing the style that you think best suits the tuning, melody and rhythm is an awesome experience--as you have already seen.

Clifton Hicks

Thank You Sir, Very much appreciated. This is the song where the 2-finger style starts to click for me. I learned a 2-finger thumb lead style with a drone on the 1st string which turns the bum ditty upside down. It was hard to flip to this style (which I think sounds better) but now switching between the two and syncopating opens up a whole new world.

Kurosh, I'm thrilled that experimenting with lower tuning has helped with your singing--I know it did wonders for mine! I will certainly post a slower close-up with some singing over it to help you along. Keep a look out!

Clifton Hicks

LOL, Goodwin, I KNOW your are!

Clifton Hicks

Thanks for the encouragement, Bobby.

Your lowered tunings are really helping my voice come out. Even know the banjo seems to sing each word, this one for me is tricky singing and playing smoothly. Maybe a left hand closeup, with words on top could help, if time allows. If not, I will watch it slowed down countless times, as I have for almost all your videos. Lol.

I'm on it!!

Another one for Kinman tuning! I'm currently camping and have been attempting to play this from memory. Will have give it a good bash when we get back to site - won't have any signal, just me and the banjo (and the Mrs)! Cheers Clif, keep em coming
