John Harrod | History Of Women in Kentucky Traditional Music
Added 2018-10-17 19:02:10 +0000 UTCI met John Harrod this summer at the Swannonoa Gathering on the campus of Warren Wilson College in North Carolina. Besides being one of the best living traditional fiddlers he is an extremely knowledgeable and prolific teacher.
This presentation was given in 2013 and is a good example of his lectures in which he usually incorporates film and/or recordings of tradition-bearers to help his audience grasp the subject matter.

John's a great guy and was a huge inspiration for me too. Very knowledgeable and great communicator. He was my teacher at Augusta old-time week in 2006 and it had a profound impact on me. Thanks for sharing this. It had slipped my radar.
