"Cold Icy Mountain" | Close-Up

gDGBD, relative (fCFAC, actual) aka "standard tuning" or "Cripple Creek tuning."

In this video I demonstrate the chorus and verse parts to Cold Icy Mountain, first using overhand technique and then two-finger.

Best two dollars I’ve ever spent in my life. I’m a guitar player, who converted to banjo about a year ago. These last few months I felt like I hit a wall, but I’ve definitely punched through that wall after finding you. You really help change the way my mind approaches the banjo, and I’m enjoying these new sounds I’m getting while playing. Thanks for sharing knowledge with us!

Whatever works!

This is great! When playing the high part in two finger, I've tried playing the 2nd string 3rd fret instead of the open 1st string. I have trouble playing the open first string and keeping my rhythm. If that makes sense..
