Cluck Old Hen | Lesson

fCFB♭C actual (gDGCD relative) aka "G Modal" or "Pretty Polly Tuning."

In this video I discuss how to play the classic Appalachian dance piece "Cluck Old Hen" using two traditional banjo methods: overhand (clawhammer) and two-finger (thumb-lead).

I learned this piece from George R. Gibson of Knott County, Kentucky and it is one of the only pieces of  music I've never heard him sing with. I generally don't sing with it either, hence I've chosen not to here. Lyrics to this song, for those interested in learning them, are widely available.

I'm also looking for the tab ... clicked the link on Youtube for Patreon to get the tab (and other stuff; been a patron before), but I can't find it.
