Short Performance by Firelight (practicing for Thursday!)
Added 2020-05-13 02:52:53 +0000 UTCI've long believed that traditional songs are best conveyed by firelight in the outdoors. Looking forward to a time when we might sit around the campfire again, passing the banjo between friends. fCFB♭C A=432 (actual), gDGCD (relative).
Also, I should note that this is a "new banjo!" Months ago, I showed y'all this funny little block rim with unusual, hand-wrought iron brackets. The other day I finally finished carving and fitting a brand new walnut neck for it. Was able to keep the original hide any everything--no modifications were made to the pot beyond gluing up a crack or two and applying hemp oil.

2020-08-29 12:56:45 +0000 UTCHi Clifton, was having a go at this with the tuning underneath on YouTube gDGCD I believe, but noticed at the beginning when you run you hand slowly across the strings, that last 2 are the same. Is it that treble C tuning. Ray.
