"Sally Brown" Lesson
Added 2022-05-20 15:00:01 +0000 UTCI learned "Sally Brown" from 1980s recording of Andy Irvine, Dónal Lunny, and Christy Moore. My instrument is a 1940s Bacon "Belmont" banjo tuned ~ gCGCD.

Sally Brown is a fine young lady...
She's tall and she's dark but she's not too shady...
Her mother doesn't like no tarry sailor...
Sally wouldn't wed me so I shipped across the water...
Now I am courting Sally's daughter...

I've seen a similar song at a folk festival they call it Randy Dandy Oh , similar words anyway .
