Added 2023-01-27 14:00:04 +0000 UTC"Black Velvet Band" was sung in England as early as the 1780s. I learned it from a 1960s recording of Luke Kelly of Dublin, Ireland. My instrument is an early 2000s Terry Bell minstrel banjo tuned.
