A Pause

The best most of us could get was one final Zoom call with the camera on the table beside her hospital bed. She wasnโt awake or able to communicate because she was heavily sedated and needed a ventilator to breathe. It was not what she deserved. She was very well loved by so many people. Under normal circumstances, she would have died surrounded by enough friends and family to fill the whole room. But that wasnโt possible.
This kind of loss has been more difficult to process than others, simply because of the distance. There was nothing normal about it. I know many other people are dealing with their own losses under these abnormal circumstances. Itโs a difficult moment for so many people.
I am taking a pause to grieve. I hope youโll understand. Thank you all for your support.
