Private Background Scenery Commission | 11042021
Added 2021-11-04 13:11:44 +0000 UTCThis is a background that was I was commissioned some time ago. Two characters having tea on a private manor overlooking a large pond.
This is probably gonna be used for their game I think.
This painting is a culmination of all the techniques I've learned so far. But still I always strive to improve further. You can see the foreground grass to be hastily drawn.
I spent about 12 hours in total for this artwork.
As you can see the color mood and palette I used is similar to Makoto Shinkai's Garden of Words film.
When painting with reference, it is good to determine the color by eye, as it helps practice good color theory.

You can see that the lighting is already established. Helps speed up the progress a lot!
