Hello feverish patrons!
We've had an exciting week with lots of new developments, so let's get to it, shall we?
- Episode 1: Unfortunately we had a loss in the family, and the trip to celebrate their life put our tight schedule behind a few days. The good news is we purposefully schedule days off every week to avoid burnout, so catching up is theoretically as simple as using those days and hoping our excitement keeps the burnout away! In iffier news, we've had yet another delay with our music score, so a hard deadline has been set, and if the same communication trends keep till then, we have our plan B ready to roll with hopefully enough time to get it done early October. Thankfully, your support has made options like that possible by giving us any budget to work with! And in better news, all of our Voice Actor audio is polished, timed, and ready to go thanks to our brilliant and reliable audio tech, and we'll be moving on to SFX next! And did we mention we're 40% through the episode, now? That's nearly halfway!
- Premiere Plans: Have we ever got exciting plans in the work for our premiere! You may have noticed the sketched poster above. That's right! We're pairing up with the quirky, fun, mystery riddled Maine Events show to hold a double premiere! The details are still being figured out, but our deadlines all match so tone and timing wise it couldn't be a more perfect fit. They also have the advantage of having done this before with their pilot, so the West Patch team is already learning a lot! But wait, there's more: we've been reaching out to game devs of indy puzzle, horror, and eerie games requesting keys to give away as a thanks to attending viewers, and some have already gotten back to us! Also keep an eye out on our social media for Inktober, as some secrets will lurk between the lines building up to the premiere. . . We want the event to be engaging and fun for all, and will continue brainstorming and reaching out to make that happen.
- Patron Shout Outs: Thanks to those who gave preferences for their patron shout out fake small business for our sponsor poster! Your names will frame our first release poster as a public thanks for all you've done. Here are our current plans, subject to change if anyone would like:
Snowflake Rose - Snowflake Rose Florists; flowers out of season
Joshua Shultz - MISTAjOSH's Music & Friends; imaginary sound solutions
Roger Hanna - Roger's Pet Emporium; mad crows and more
David Shealy - Shealy Fantasy Fitness; become as strong as your favorite fictional characters

Jacob Schulte - Schulte Audio House; in one ear and out the other

Seth M - Seth's Comedy Club; Tuesday night special on dad jokes
Brandon Clark - Brandon Clark Benefactors; making dreams real
LadyZin - Laughing Dragon Tea; exotic leaves straight from legend
- Book: What's that? A book update? Of course! It wouldn't be West Patch if we weren't doing a few too many things at once. The writing is 40% done, and while art is on hold while we prioritize Inktober, we intentionally used a simpler illustration style to make catching up easy. Then we'll just have to add the publisher's notes and a few secrets, and get it to our previously selected printer for you!
With that, lovely patrons, we swing full force into another week. Thanks again for your tremendous support so early in our venture, and as always...
See you next time!
