As we return from our week without wifi, we have amazing news to share. So let's dive in!
- Episode 1: Our pilot has made it into the limited selection at Stareable Fest in New York! With a lot of promising marketing and networking opportunities, we're excited to travel up and attend in October. We're also looking at an ambitious attempt to finish Episode 2 in time to screen them side by side, since all creators are given a block up to 20 minutes to fill. It's amazing news, heightened inspiration, and a thrilling success that you all made possible. Thank you for the support to get us here!
- Episode 2: We're sending a draft out to our amazing composer, Antoni Schonken, and look forward to that towards the end of the month. We're also working on organizing audio to send to our sound wizard Adam Woolley for clean up and sfx. It's an exciting stage to be at! With a third animator taking on the spare shot at an affordable rate, we're eager to increase our production timeline.
- The Book: During our retreat, we dedicated time every day to the book, and are now satisfied with 60% of the writing, with the last few chapters drafted and in need of only editing. We're very excited to finally get you your tier rewards, along with some extra gifts of thanks, so progress is going as fast as we can manage.
- Misc: One of our two creators, Rachel, has the amazing opportunity to be the script supervisor and assistant director on the set of an indie movie she wrote (directsonmovie.com), and will ship off to do that for the next couple weeks. Hannah runs the helm until her return, and we're hopeful that things won't slow down much during the interim.
