Production Update! 8.28.21

This will be a brief but exciting update about our efforts to complete episode 2 before the 31st, and how this may affect future episodes. To be blunt... it's going pretty awesome.
- Episode 2: With the storyboards we ended up with, Episode 2's animated shots and backgrounds ended up individually being 1% each of the full episode. We are currently at 95% completion, which in this case translates to 2.5 shots remaining and three backgrounds left to paint. With three days left, we're very optimistic as we've completed roughly 35% this month, alongside some new intro material and other miscellaneous pieces that have to come together. We believe the 30th will mostly be post-production and that a rough cut will be fully animated and viewable on the 1st of September. This isn't going to be the version we release - for the festival, we're allowed one screening video up to 20 minutes, so the two episodes will be cut together and episode 2 will look a little different in its meta elements when it comes to youtube. You lovely patrons, however, will get to see the festival cut right here on Patreon as soon as it's rendered and ready!
- Everything Else: Once September hits and we're not spending 10+ hours a day on episode 2, attention will turn back to the book and to some fun extra videos we're working on, including more 'lost media' videos and a very 90's trailer for Episode 2. Right now, though, we're still grinding out the last bit of art so details will come when the dust settles!
