Hello Hallowed Patrons!
It's spooky season, and we've been busy!
- Angel Hare: The finale is still in progress. It's got some slightly more elaborate animation, so we hope it's worth the wait! You'll get access to it the moment it's done with the usual Patron-exclusive Discord watch party.
- Crowing: Part of the delay on Angel Hare is due to the fact that we made a game over the course of September! For the Spooktober Visual Novel game jam, we made a free-to-play, finished game that you can play right now! It's got some bugs and isn't perfect, but it's a finished product with original music, voice acting, art, the works. We're very proud of it and met some talented individuals along the way that we're keeping on our list for future works! It also features some familiar voice actors you all might recognize. Please enjoy this free labor of love as a gift to make your October that much more enchanting~
- The South Carolina Film Commission: Our state is taking pitches to receive funding and resources to make a movie next year, in association with film students from SC colleges. We're going to try our luck applying, and have a fun idea and a partially finished script. With the opportunities we've been able to take advantage of with your help, we're able to reach out to a whole host of folks to improve our chances with excellent material. The project logline is: "A skeptic reporter is told her brother's disappearance was the work of a local cryptid, but when she returns home to find the truth, she discovers the creature is real and it wants her help clearing its name." We're very excited about local locations and will have fun going through the motions of a project pitch regardless of if we're chosen. We'll also share the script and pitch with you once it's done!
- The Big One: We've been working on something else, too. It will be a long-term, slow project, over many many months, but one that's important to us. We're working on an animated movie. It's going to be an old school sci-fi suspense movie set in a futuristic lighthouse, and we've got the script outlined and are working with Angel Hare's character designer, Mac Rosenburg, on the cast, and a new artist on some location concept art. You can see their amazing portfolio on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/penguinink/
We'll share more as it happens! It's been a busy September and we're using October to try and really organize what we have coming next. Thanks again for your support! We're excited about the levels of quality we're able to reach because of your amazing help.
See you next time!
